Oshawa, Ontario (December 1, 2015) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,812 vehicles in November 2015, an increase of 13.2 per cent, leading the automotive sales in Canada. Total GM Canada sales for the 2015 calendar year to date are up 6 per cent.    

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “For the second consecutive month, GM is back at the head of the pack with double digit sales growth for the month.  Calendar year to day our Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars, trucks and crossovers sales are up more than six per cent. It is really great to participate in record automotive industry growth with our incredible line up of technologically advanced vehicles.” 

In November, the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado diesel was named Motor Trend Magazine’s Truck of the Year – a repeat victory for the truck. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro was named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year, and the 2016 Chevrolet Volt was named Green Car of the Year by Green Car Journal. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado was named the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada’s Best New Pickup for 2016. 

November 2015 Brand Sales Highlights:

  • Chevrolet sales grew again in November up 17 per cent driven by sales of the Canadian-built Equinox crossover (up 21 per cent), the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Volt (up 197 per cent), Impala (up 139 per cent), and Chevrolet’s pickup truck portfolio which is up 22 per cent, driven by the strength of the Chevy Colorado and the Chevy Silverado
  • Buick sales grew 15 per cent driven by sales of the Encore (up 82 per cent) and Enclave (up 15 per cent) for the month
  • GMC total sales are up 7 per cent for the month, marking the brand’s 17th consecutive month of sales growth.  November’s strong performance was fueled by GMC’s pickup truck portfolio, which is up 6 per cent for the month.
  • Cadillac sales for the month of November are up 9 per cent, driven by sales of the SRX (up 22 per cent) and CTS (up 51 per cent). So far in 2015, Cadillac sales are up 17 per cent.

Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days November 2015 had 24 selling days and November 2014 had 26 selling days.
