HYUNDAI ACCENT WINS 2013 MOTORWEEK DRIVERS’ CHOICE AWARD

Accent Receives Its Second Title as “Best Subcompact Car”

COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 7, 2013 Delivering fresh appeal and dependability, the Hyundai Accent continues to impress, capturing its second Driver’s Choice Award as MotorWeek’s “Best Subcompact Car.” The honor was announced today at the Chicago Auto Show by MotorWeek, television’s longest running automotive series.

“We are delighted and honored that the Accent has been recognized for the second year in a row,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The Accent continues to offer an array of safety features, advanced technology and sleek styling, all while exceeding customer expectations in value.”

Since 1983, the annual Motor Week’s Drivers’ Choice Awards have been touted as one of the auto industry’s top honors. This year, more than 150 cars, trucks and utility vehicles were judged by a panel of 15 judges from the TV show’s editorial staff. Vehicles were evaluated from the buyer’s perspective with ratings based on performance, practicality, fuel efficiency and overall value.

The Accent will be featured on a special Motor Week episode beginning February 9 on PBS and on Discovery’s Velocity Network, February 19.
