Jörg Spindler

Jörg Spindler, born in 1968 in Stuttgart, is married and has two children.

After studying mechanical engineering, Spindler started his career in Car Body Production Planning at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt in 1995. Following various tasks in production planning in Attached Parts / Structure Planning Press Shop in Ingolstadt and in Operation Management in Neckarsulm, he was appointed to his first management position as Head of Project Management Equipment Construction at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm in 2001.

In 2005, Spindler moved to Volkswagen Slovakia, where he was responsible for project management of the Audi Q7 body assembly. In 2006, he returned to Neckarsulm and was once again in charge of Project Management Equipment Construction. In the same year, he was made a project manager for the Porsche Panamera within the Audi Toolmaking division.

Two years later, Spindler became Head of Toolmaking for the Equipment/Devices segment at the Neckarsulm plant. In 2010, he was promoted to Site Coordinator for Neckarsulm Toolmaking and Head of the Neckarsulm Toolmaking segment.

Since April 1, 2016, Jörg Spindler has been Head of the Toolmaking division at AUDI AG and is responsible for toolmaking at the sites in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm, Győr in Hungary, Audi Tooling Barcelona (ATB) in Martorell, Spain, and Audi Tooling China (ATC) in Beijing, China. In this position, he is also in charge of the Equipment and Metal Forming competence center. That is where the activities of Toolmaking and the press shops are coordinated so that expertise and valuable synergies can be optimally utilized.
