Lars-Henner Santelmann (52), has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services AG with immediate effect. In this function Santelmann succeeds Frank Witter (56), who has been appointed Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft with responsibility for Finance.
Lars-Henner Santelmann is an economics graduate and joined the Volkswagen Group in 1988, holding several senior management posts such as finance director at Autogerma (Italy) from 1993 to 1994 and Group sales director for South and Eastern Europe from 1995 to 2000. Santelmann was subsequently appointed Vice President of SEAT (Spain), before becoming General Manager of Volkswagen Financial Services AG and Volkswagen Bank GmbH in November 2005. In 2008 he became Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services AG with responsibility for sales and marketing and for the regions Germany, Europe, International and Latin America.
