At the Laureus World Sports Awards, each year, the best athletes are honoured for their outstanding achievements in all disciplines in a grand gala.
The awards were started in 2000 by Daimler AG and Richemont and every year, around one billion viewers in over 160 countries worldwide follow the glamorous event live.
