Mazda Canada reports record sales for October 2015

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Nov. 3, 2015 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for
October 2015 today totaling 6,209, which is an increase of 2% compared
to October 2014, and is the best October sales ever for Mazda in
Canada.

Sales in October were led by the compact Mazda3 with 2,788 sold. The
all-new 2016 MX-5 continues its sales momentum into the fall,
increasing sales by 117% for the best October sales since 2009.

The CX-5 was the second-best selling model for Mazda in October with
2,031 units sold, marking its best October sales on record and the
ninth monthly record increase in 2015. After having gone on sale in
May, the CX-3 has already established itself as a major player in the
Mazda sales rankings, taking over the number 3 spot with a record sales
month in October. Along with the all-new 2016 Mazda CX-3 and CX-9,
Mazda’s CX line of crossovers enjoyed a 50% increase versus Mazda’s
crossover sales in October 2014.

“As we head towards another Canadian winter, consumers are starting to
think about putting all-wheel drive on their shopping list, and Mazda’s
new predictive i-ACTIV AWD system is the best choice to safely get you
to your destination, no matter where you need to go,” said David Klan,
Senior Director, Sales, Marketing Regional Operations. “This
intuitive system, available in each of our CX-line of crossovers, can
predict when it needs to act in any situation, even before you do.”

In October, 97% of all Mazda vehicles sold were equipped with the
fuel-efficient SKYACTIV Technology. With the addition of the new MX-5
roadster and CX-3 subcompact crossover into the lineup, Mazda is moving
ever closer to offering SKYACTIV Technology in every vehicle in
showrooms.
