Nissan: Jeff Younginer

Jeff Younginer is vice president, Manufacturing, Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, at Nissan North America, Inc., a position to which he was appointed in October 2017. In this role, Younginer is responsible for the operation of Nissan’s Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, including safety, quality, operations, productivity and environmental compliance.  

Previously, Younginer was director, Product Quality Assurance, Smyrna, where he was responsible for the Quality Management System, including inspection/testing of vehicles and incoming materials, corrective action of non-conformities and management of Smyrna’s Voice of the Customer system.

Younginer joined Nissan North America in 2006 and has held a number of roles of increasing responsibility throughout Nissan’s operations, including Maxima Trim Chassis Senior Manager, Nissan Production Way Director and Line 1 Trim Chassis Director. In 2013, he received, “The Global Nissan Function Award” and “The Global Nissan Quality Award.”

Prior to joining Nissan, Younginer worked at Michelin Tire Corp and Toyota Motor Company.

Younginer holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Administrative Management from Clemson University. He is based in Smyrna, Tennessee.
