Nissan: Nissan Canton plant celebrates 15 years

CANTON, Miss. – Fifteen years ago, Nissan saw an opportunity to bring a new industry rich with opportunity to Mississippi. The result? We’ve transformed Mississippi into a hub for world-class automotive manufacturing, creating more than 6,500 jobs for team members and more than 25,000 direct and indirect jobs statewide.

The hard work of team members goes well beyond the walls of the plant. We’ve established ourselves as a strong community partner.

Since 2003, our community partners have received more than $15 million in charitable contributions and more than 8,000 volunteer hours from the Canton team. At Nissan, we firmly believe in enriching people’s lives and supporting the communities we call home.
