Nissan: Nissan Group Reports May 2017 Canadian Sales

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Today, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales of 13,943 units for May 2017, an increase of 5.6 per cent and its best May ever for both Nissan and INFINITI brands. The Nissan Division set a May sales record, with 12,825 units sold and an increase of 5.4 per cent.
 

Nissan Division highlights:

  • Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada – the Nissan Rogue crossover – set a May sales record at 4,172 – an increase of 18.3 per cent.
  • The Pathfinder sport utility vehicle sold 963 units, an increase of 33.6 per cent.
  • Sales of the Frontier mid-size pickup truck set a May record at 482 units sold, an increase of 18.7 per cent.
  • Sales of the Nissan TITAN full-size pickup truck totaled 386 units, an increase of 120.6 per cent and a May record.
  • Sales of the 370Z sports car increased 34.9 per cent this month with 143 units sold.
  • The LEAF 100 per cent electric vehicle also set a May record at 122 units sold, up 0.8 per cent.
  • The Armada flagship sport utility vehicle more than tripled sales to 119 units sold, setting a May record.

INFINITI highlights:

  • INFINITI reported sales of 1,118 units, an increase of 7.9 per cent versus a year earlier, and a May sales record.
  • The refreshed 7-passenger QX60 premium crossover continues to be INFINITI’s best-seller with 427 units sold in May, up 10.3 per cent and a May record.
  • Sales for the Q60 premium sports coupe remain steady with 130 units sold in May.
  • The new QX30 premium active crossover continues to see strong sales with 114 units sold.
