Nissan: Nissan Group reports September 2015 Canadian sales

 

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 12,007 units, an increase of 9.7 per cent over last year and the best September in the company’s history. This sales achievement marks 26 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

Nissan brand sales increased 8.6 per cent with 10,912 units sold, setting a new September sales record.

Nissan Division September highlights:

  • The fully-electric LEAF set an all-time monthly sales record with 144 units sold, an increase of 27.4 per cent
  • The Rogue, Murano, Armada and Micra posted best-ever September sales.
    • Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada – the Nissan Rogue crossover – set a September record at 3,299 – an increase of 17.8 per cent, marking 22 consecutive months of record sales.
    • Sales of the all-new Murano premium crossover increased 30.8 per cent with 943 units sold, a new September record.
    • Micra subcompact sales increased 17.4 per cent with 1,138 units sold, representing a September record.
  • In its third full month in Nissan dealerships, sales of the all-new Maxima sport sedan increased 282.7 per cent to 199 units.
  • Deliveries of the JUKE sport crossover increased 49.7 per cent to 443 units.
  • The 370Z sports car continues to post monthly gains with sales up 141.9 per cent.

Infiniti September highlights:

  • Infiniti reported September sales of 1,095, an increase of 22.6 per cent versus a year earlier. This marks the best month in Infiniti’s history in Canada.
  • Sales of the Q50 luxury sport sedan increased 41.0 per cent with deliveries of 337 units.
  • The QX50 luxury crossover totalled 232, an increase of 34.9 per cent, and the best September sales performance since the launch of the model in 2008.
  • Sales of the QX60 7-passenger luxury crossover increased 4.1 per cent to 357, setting a new September record.
  • The QX80 full-size performance luxury SUV recorded its best September ever with sales increasing 41.0 per cent.
