Nissan: Nissan Group reports September 2016 Canadian sales

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 11,755 units, a decrease of 2.1 per cent over last year. Calendar year-to-date sales are up 4.8 per cent.  

Nissan brand sales totaled 10,679 units, a decrease of 2.1 per cent year-over-year. Calendar year-to-date sales are up 4.8 per cent. Infiniti brand sales decreased 1.7 per cent with 1,076 units sold, up 5.6 per cent calendar year-to-date.

Nissan Division September highlights:

  • In its first full month of sales at Canadian Nissan dealerships, the all-new Armada full-size sport utility vehicle recorded its best-ever month with 112 units sold, an increase of 75.0 per cent.
  • Nissan Rogue crossover set a new September sales record at 3,833 units sold, an increase of 16.2 per cent.
  • Nissan Murano crossover set a September sales record increasing 20.6 per cent to 1,137 units.
  • Nissan LEAF fully-electric car set an all-time sales record in September with 146 units sold, an increase of 1.4 per cent. This marks seven months of consecutive sales growth for the Nissan LEAF.
  • Sales of the Nissan Altima increased 9.9 per cent this month with 586 units sold.

Infiniti September highlights:

  • Infiniti reported sales of 1,076 a decrease of 1.7 per cent versus a year earlier.
  • The Infiniti QX80 full-size luxury SUV set a September sales records with 90 units sold.
  • In their first full month of sales, the Q60 premium sports coupe and QX30 premium active crossover both saw triple-digit deliveries, with 106 and 104 units sold respectively.
