Nissan: Nissan production, sales and exports for June and first half of 2017

YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced production, sales and export figures for June 2017 and the first half of 2017 (January-June).

“Nissan achieved record results in both global production and sales in the January-June 2017 period,” said Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci, Nissan’s global head of marketing and sales. “Our core models, such as the Rogue in the U.S., the Qashqai in Europe and the Sylphy in China, drove strong sales. In Japan, the Note e-POWER, launched last year, became the top-selling compact car in the first half of calendar year 2017. We will maintain this growth momentum in the second half of the year, when we will launch the new Nissan LEAF.”

1. Production

 

June 2017

Nissan’s global production in June surpassed the year-earlier level for the second consecutive month. The output was a record for the month of June.

Production in Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the 11th straight month.

Production in China surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the month of June.

First half: January-June 2017

Nissan’s global production surpassed year-earlier results for the second consecutive year. The output was a record for the January-June period.

Production in Japan surpassed year-earlier results, the first increase in three years.

Production outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the second consecutive year. The output was a record for the January-June period. Production in Mexico and China, respectively, surpassed year-earlier levels and set records for the January-June period.

 

2. Sales

 

June 2017

Global sales in June surpassed year-earlier results for the 11th straight month, setting a record for the month of June.

Sales including mini-vehicles in Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the eighth consecutive month.

Sales outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the fifth consecutive month, setting a record for the month of June. Sales in the U.S. surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the month of June.

First half: January-June 2017

Nissan’s global sales surpassed year-earlier results for the fourth consecutive year, setting a record for the January-June period.

Sales including mini-vehicles in Japan surpassed year-earlier results, the first increase in three years.

Sales outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the fourth straight year, setting a record for the January-June period. Sales in the U.S., Mexico and Europe, respectively, surpassed year-earlier levels and set records for the January-June period.
