Report on the Impact of Flooding in Thailand on Nissan Operations

Heavy monsoon rain has caused severe flooding in the areas surrounding Bangkok since the beginning of October, with consequent disruptions to Nissan’s supply chain. The following is an update on the flood impact on Nissan operations.

Operations at Nissan Motor Thailand (NMT) plant
Nissan’s plant at Samut Prakan remains unaffected by the flood to date and all possible measures have been taken to strengthen the plant’s flood defenses. Production at the plant remains suspended and this production hold has been extended to November 4, due to shortages in parts supply.

Overseas Impact

At this time the production hold at NMT has not affected production at facilities outside Thailand.

Nissan is working closely with its suppliers to resume parts supply and return to production as quickly as possible in order to minimize any inconveniences to our valued customers.
