But it is also about the development of the first modern motorcar and, as a result, also about the first Mercedes racing car. Other highlights are the supercharged cars of the 1920s, the creation of the Silver Arrows in 1934, the legendary 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ as well as DTM and Formula 1 – and the races contested with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, such as Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and Carrera Panamericana.”
