Thirty metres high, ocean water weighing tons, Garrett McNamara at probably the most crucial moment of his career: he surfs the biggest wave in the world and beats his own record by six metres. Since his world record in Nazaré, Portugal, in 2013, the surfer from the USA is considered the ultimate big wave legend. And just like the waves in the ocean, Garrett’s life is constantly in motion. After his big break took a while to come, he kept himself afloat with a clothes shop in Hawaii, but now the 52-year-old is riding the crest of the wave. His motto: “Everything is possible.”
