Uta Klawitter (Dr. jur.) was born on July 2, 1964, in Bremen.
After her first state examination in law in Osnabrück 1989 Klawitter graduated with the second state examination in law in 1992 at the Higher Regional Court in Oldenburg. In 1996, Uta Klawitter did her doctorate at the University of Osnabrück.
Klawitter completed her education with an Executive MBA at the Kellogg School of Management in the USA and the WHU (Otto Beisheim School of Management) in Germany.
She worked as a research associate for commercial and corporate law at the University of Osnabrück before she moved as an associate to Shearman Sterling in 1995. From 1998 to 2001, she headed the Corporate Law at DaimlerChrysler. Then Klawitter took over as Director of Corporate and Capital Market Law at Deutsche Telekom. In 2010, she joined Fresenius SE Co. KGaA as Head of Legal.
Since July 1, 2019, Uta Klawitter has been responsible for General Counsel Legal Services of AUDI AG.
